Sixes Lacrosse League
Program Overview
The TOP Lacrosse Sixes League is a fast-paced, small-sided field lacrosse program for boys and girls ages 7 to 15. Each session includes a structured skills development session and structured Sixes-format games, giving players more touches, more decisions, and more fun than a traditional practice. It's a great fit for multi-sport athletes just getting into lacrosse, and for experienced players looking for extra field reps.
The league runs Sunday afternoons at Trafalgar Castle School in Whitby and is intentionally scheduled to work alongside a player's existing OLA season. There are no conflicts with weekday rep commitments, making this a natural complement to any spring lacrosse schedule. For players not yet in a club program, it's the ideal introduction to the field game in a low-pressure, high-energy environment.
Sixes Lacrosse is the fastest-growing format of lacrosse. The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) has adopted it as a core part of its competition calendar, and Sixes Lacrosse is set to make its Olympic debut at the LA 2028 Games, marking lacrosse's return to the Olympics for the first time since 1932. Players in this league are learning the same format that will be on the world's biggest stage.
Both boys and girls are welcome. Boys' field lacrosse equipment is required for all participants (see FAQ below for full details).

FAQs
Common Questions
Who can play? Are there tryouts?
No tryouts - the Sixes League is development-focused and open to all skill levels. Players are grouped in age divisions to keep games competitive, and teams may be mixed week-to-week to create more balance.
What equipment is required?
Boys' field lacrosse equipment is required for all participants: helmet with cage, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, stick, and cleats (usually best on grass fields). A pinnie is provided. Girls are welcome but must wear boys' equipment for this program. Hockey protective equipment is suitable instead of lacrosse equipment.
Can my child play while also in an OLA season?
Absolutely, this league is built for it. Sunday afternoon slots are specifically chosen to minimize conflicts with OLA games and practices. Many of our players use this program to get extra field reps during their regular season.
Can my child play other TOP Sports at the same time?
Yes. Our schedule is designed to support multi-sport athletes. There are virtually no conflicts with TOP Hockey or TOP Soccer, making year-round variety easy to manage.
